The Napkin Boxes have an obvious purpose. The standard version has a simple flat lid to cover the box. Standard material is 6mm white solid surface, like Corian or Hi Macs. The production method is cnc routing.
Most napkins have a standard (folded) size of 240 x 240 mm. The US standard size is 10” x 10”. When using 6 mm material, the box should have an outside size of 255 x 255 mm (or 10.5” x 10.5”). The outside height of the box is standard 212 mm, but can be customised.
The ‘finger hole’ in the box is standard 30 x 30 mm square with bevelled edged.
The standard assembly method is to clue 5 panels together. The 6th panel (the lid) is held in position by the bevelled edges.
The box will be shipped assembled and will take therefore some space. An alternative production method is use of the cuff hook production method and make panels in the require size to hold the standard size napkins.
The material thickness can be reduced to 3 mm. (3mm Acrylic, for instance). In this case the assembly will be done by the customer and the shipping box will be considerably smaller.
